// TRAVELING COMPANIONS

The Opportunity Collaboration is family friendly. Within the limits of the structured program and respecting the event’s ambience of reflective dialogue, the Opportunity Collaboration invites traveling companions and children 3 years or younger.

Traveling Companions

The $250.00 Traveling Companion all-inclusive registration fee includes 5 nights lodging (standard hotel double occupancy), 3 meals per day, airport shuttle and gratuities. Airfare and other personal expenses not included.

Non-Delegate traveling companions are provided Opportunity Collaboration name tags and participate in all meal-time policy discussions, including Delegate-led Conversational Cluster-Forks. They also attend all evening networking events, including the Welcome Reception, Farewell Fiesta and Casual Convenings where attendees select from among the Collaboration Cinema, dancing, playing music and socializing under the stars.

Traveling companions may also join Delegates in sunrise yoga and participate in daily recreational activities from noon to 3pm, with complimentary access to tennis courts, ocean sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, yoga, dance and trapeze lessons, softball, volleyball and other healthy, social downtime activities.

The Colloquium for the Common Good, Connections & Corridors and Collaboration Challenges are reserved for full Delegates only. Companions who wish to participate in the Colloquium, Connections program, or the Challenges should register as full Delegates ($2500.00, standard hotel double occupancy).

While Delegates are in daily Colloquium and Challenge sessions, traveling companions may enjoy social beach meet-ups, walks, swimming and relaxing on campus or spa services and offsite excursions ranging from golf, snorkeling and swimming with dolphins to cultural explorations of the local Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa communities. Spa and excursion appointments can be made upon arrival; fees vary by activity.

Children: 3 Years or Younger

An all-inclusive $250.00 Toddler registration fee is required for children up to 3 years of age and includes all lodging, meals, airport shuttles and gratuities. Children 4 years of age and older cannot be accommodated.

Family accommodations are equipped with strollers, cribs, baby bathtubs, bottle warmers and sanitizers, white noise players and changing areas. Family-friendly dining, beach and pool areas are designated for Delegates with young children.

Beach and pool play dates where adults of all ages and their young children meet up to play are specifically programmed during the daily Colloquium and Challenge sessions. Laughter and chatter is always welcome away from the quiet ambience necessary for Delegates’ collaborative work. The central restaurant has a kids-themed family dining area where Delegates can freely enjoy meals with their children; high chairs, booster seats and baby food are available.

Qualified local nannies are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be scheduled upon arrival. Child care costs approximately $17.00 per hour (for up to three children) with additional fees for meal-time and after-dinner babysitting.
